John Tozer, DMD

An Orono native and son of a dentist, Dr. Tozer has served patients in the greater Bangor community for more than 30 years. Dr. Tozer is a graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology, the University of Maine, and received his doctorate from Tufts University. He has completed many advanced education courses in several dental specialty areas, including implantology, head and neck pain, occlusion, laser gum disease treatments, cosmetic dentistry, CEREC ceramic crowns, and oral conscious sedation.

Patient comfort and a sense of trust are of the utmost priority to Dr. Tozer. His practice uses the latest dental technology and is staffed by many long-term employees and dentists who create a warm, caring atmosphere. Dr. Tozer’s extensive knowledge, experience, and comforting chair-side manner ensure you will receive the best dental treatment possible.

Dr. Tozer is a member of the American Dental Association, Dentists of Conscious Sedation, Academy of General Dentistry, Maine Dental Association, and Penobscot Valley Dental Society. He is certified by InvisalignTM and CEREC. He is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

He has received a LANAP Certificate from the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry. He has completed a mini-residency in Head, Neck, and Facial Pain from the University of Florida, Gainsville. He has also completed courses at Dawson Academy in Florida on Functional Occlusion from TMJ to smile design.

When not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Tozer enjoys time with his wife, Laura, and their three children, Caroline, Sarah, and Matt. He’s a licensed pilot. He enjoys a good Pat’s Pizza and educates himself on the latest dental technology and treatments.

Rebekah Blanchette, DDS

A graduate of the University of Maine, Dr. Blanchette earned her dental degree at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada. When she was just four years old, she told her mother that she wanted to be a doctor to help people. She became fascinated with dentistry while completing her undergraduate degree in zoology at UMaine.

Today, Dr. Blanchette devotes many hours to continuing education and serves as the Clinical Director of the Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary program at the University of Maine at Augusta, Bangor campus. She has fulfilled her childhood dream. She has enjoyed nearly a 10-year partnership with Dr. Tozer at Broadway Dental Excellence.

Dr. Blanchette is a member of the American Dental Association, Dentists of Conscious Sedation, Academy of General Dentistry, Maine Dental Association, and the Penobscot Valley Dental Society. She is certified by InvisalignTM and CEREC. Each year, she also works as a volunteer dentist with Special Olympics and Smiles at Kids.

Dr. Blanchette makes Winterport her home. She lives there along with her husband, Jason, and two children. She enjoys running, hiking, crocheting, and cooking!
